this image was taken from my first roll of slide film. ill be using slide film to shoot daylight for my final.
also from the same role are two views of a pool of blood, not even a day old. two kids were shot down the street from my friend's house, 16 and 18 years old.Studio Lighting

yeah
so by now ive shot my strobes project and and working on hot lights. here.
i shot the "art room" of my house, which is essentially my dad's man cave. its where he has his inspiration on the walls, his fathers jar of tobacco, a poster of duane allman, and tons of useless objects that, one day, he hopes will have a purpose.

wow
NYC fried my brain apparently. ive had more complications with the upstaits studio than ive ever had with any project. unbeknownts watt changes, failed rolls. i shot tuesday and when i noticed my rolls were screwed (i shot with two different cameras because of ridiculousness) i sat there, got inspired, and reshot. same complication with those rolls. few shots came out but the rest didnt. not enough light.
this image is an example of exactly how i wanted it to look. i feel more confident in my skills as a photographer because i know how to use lights. its just...crap happens. ill learn more and more as time goes on.

concept
in my disdain for mass quantities of people gathering to eat deep fried butter and ride janky tilt o whirls, i shall attempt to capture the fair in such a way that it does not glorify it. 35 mm, b and w.

i shall not be shaken! as i hang in the gallows gripping noose, the execration from the audience (my class) will not deter me. you bastards! i will prevail! HAHAHA

post two: daylight proposal
well my plan for the daylight project is to hop in my car and head to al town, a rogue skatepark built by skateboarders. i aim to print this pictures large, and push the film, as an experiment and experience. cool.
al town has quarter pipes that are painted seafoam green and it rules. the sun at al town is beautiful. low set in what was a former basement to a warehouse, al town was built foir skaters by skaters with no regard of the law or the neighboorhood. ive had some really awesome experiences there, and im going to capture them.
